10-27-24 - Kings Mountain State park This has been a Fall like no other I’ve ever experienced in my lifetime. It’s been hard to find words to say or to feel joy in sharing any images. So much heartbreak all around me as my beloved home state of NC as well as the bordering states are still reeling from the effects of #hurricanehelene. In times like these it’s easy to let fear and depression overtake our minds. I miss those trips to the mountains where I can get away from the pressures of everyday life and just soak up the beauty of God’s creation. That’s when I feel the most alive and at peace. Those days will return eventually, but for now I will trust the Lord and His timing and I will cling to every small opportunity I have to catch a glimpse of something beautiful. Thankful for every moment!
